Will I lose weight more easily if I skip breakfast?
As I start a diet, I am wondering if I really need to eat breakfast. While those around me say that eating a hearty breakfast boosts metabolism and prevents binge eating, others claim that skipping breakfast and maintaining a long fasting period is effective for weight loss through intermittent fasting, so I am confused about which method is better.
I usually don't eat breakfast, so I often just have coffee and eat lunch; however, sometimes I get so hungry at lunchtime that I end up overeating. On the other hand, I also worry that eating breakfast might increase my total daily intake.
Has anyone tried dieting by skipping breakfast? I am curious whether it actually helped with weight loss or if it made controlling your appetite even harder. Conversely, I would also like to hear the experiences of those who saw weight loss results after starting to eat breakfast.
