Thermage effects, reviews, and prices

I had 300 shots of Ultherapy Prime and 300 shots of Thermage at the same time yesterday. I consulted with them through KakaoTalk, and they answered kindly. Even when I visited in person, the staff were friendly, and the doctor performed the treatment well while taking my preferences into consideration. Honestly, it’s fairly expensive, so I want to go somewhere that does a good job, but it can be pretty hit or miss. Since they were very thorough with the treatment this time, I’m looking forward to the results. The facilities are comfortable and really nice.

I had 600 shots of Thermage, and it hurt quite a lot. Still, I was able to get through it with gas sedation. The pain felt like something extremely hot was probing deep into my face. The jaw area hurt, while the fleshy parts were bearable. I’ve been getting it once a year, but I’m not really sure about any dramatic results. I think I’ll have to wait a little longer to know the exact effects for sure, but when I looked at my face right afterward, it did feel a bit tighter and slightly more elastic. I can’t tell about the skin texture or pores yet, so I think I’ll have to wait and see. The procedure was done comfortably, but it ended sooner than I expected, so I wondered whether they had really done all 600 shots. I hope my skin becomes more elastic.

It felt very hot and like I was being pricked, which was strange… But I figured that meant the energy was being delivered properly and that the treatment was working, so I endured it. I didn’t see a dramatic effect right away, but my deeper wrinkles looked like they had been smoothed out a bit! The price is a little hard to swallow, but they say getting it together with skin Botox helps the results last longer, so considering it as an annual treatment, I think it was worth it.

The pain does vary depending on the shot energy setting, but I felt reassured because the doctor adjusted the energy so carefully.^^ I don’t think there have been any major changes yet, but since the doctor performed the treatment so meticulously, I’m really looking forward to seeing the results in a month~!!

When I looked at my face right after the treatment, it did feel tightly pulled, maybe because of the swelling, and my skin had a smooth, glowing finish, so I could tell that something had changed. Both the doctor and the nurses were very kind. I was nervous since it was my first time, but I liked how they calmly explained the preparation and the procedure and made me feel reassured. They say the results gradually become more noticeable over time, so I'm looking forward to it.

I’m not sure about any dramatic results yet, maybe because of the swelling, but I think it’ll be much more noticeable when I take after photos in a month. After the treatment, they carefully showed me the official Thermage authentication card, which made me feel even more reassured. At the time of the treatment, it felt slightly tingly when touched, and since it’s only been a few days, I think I’ll have to wait and see how effective it is. There were no additional costs, and I’ll have to see how things look after a month, but for now, I’m really looking forward to seeing how it looks once the swelling goes down.

A factory-style dermatology clinic. I got Thermage, and they showed me everything, including the product authenticity verification and opening the tip package, but of course there was no consultation with the doctor. After the consultation with the coordinator was over, the doctor just came in. I told them that the area around my mouth was what I was concerned about and asked them to be careful, but when it hurt around my mouth and I said it was painful, they seemed to just want to get it over with easily, so they did more on other areas instead. The amount was hugely different between the left and right sides—they did much more on the right. Whenever I asked a question, they answered halfheartedly, as if they really didn’t want to. When I asked, “Why are you putting this on?” they said, “You just put it on...” It was a young male doctor. I don’t think I’ll ever go to a factory-style clinic again. Rather than being a hospital, this place is just a business with zero sense of being a medical institution, apparently catering to foreigners.

I happened to visit and ended up getting Thermage. It wasn’t even a cheap procedure, but why did the male practitioner turn on his phone during the treatment? When the sound of a sports broadcast started playing loudly, he seemed flustered too and turned it off. It was unpleasant during the procedure, and he rested his hand heavily on my head, which caused my turban to keep slipping off. It felt very amateurish, so I will never visit again. This is a clinic I don’t recommend in Gwangju.

It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, so rather than deciding on my next treatment right away, I want to wait and see how my skin changes after this one before making a decision.

I can see why my friend recommended it. Hehe. If you’re concerned about sagging around your lower face or mid-cheek area, I think it would be worth having a consultation!

I had Thermage done by Dr. Choi Joong-yoon. It was easy to get there since the clinic is in Garak-dong, close to my home. It’s a new building, so the clinic was clean and the facilities were nice as well. I was concerned about loss of elasticity, my pores, and nasolabial folds. The treatment was done one shot at a time while they continuously checked the condition of my skin. They let me know in advance which areas would hurt, so knowing what to expect actually made it possible to get through the treatment with less pain. I had it done last week, but for the first few days, I couldn’t really judge the results because of the Thermage swelling and the injection marks from Rituo. Now that things have settled down a bit, my pores look less noticeable and my skin feels a little firmer. I’m supposed to go back in a month for a follow-up and see the doctor again, so I’ll be visiting the clinic again next month.

Maybe because the wait was so long, they even gave me an IV with vitamins. After the procedures, they followed up with me via text and phone calls, which I appreciated. Anyway, it’s really hard to become prettier.

On the day of the treatment, you can't undergo the procedure right away and need to make another appointment to come in for the treatment. For Thermage, after arriving, I washed my face and took some photos, then had plenty of time for the application of the numbing cream. During that waiting time, I received IV fluids and pain relief medication. Then I went in for the procedure, which was completed after a soothing pack was applied afterward.
