How did you all overcome a weight plateau even when you were sticking to your diet?
Hi! Lately, I've been working hard on managing my diet and exercising, but the number on the scale just isn't moving at all, so I'm really struggling emotionally.
When I first started my diet, I enjoyed managing it because I could feel the weight dropping off really well after cutting out snacks and reducing my food intake a little. However, after about a month, at some point my weight just stopped rising and has remained the same for over a week.
I'm trying to pay attention to my macronutrient ratios to avoid going over the calorie limit, and I'm making an effort to eat as cleanly as possible. However, now that I've hit a plateau, my motivation is dropping for no reason, and whenever night falls, I find myself craving late-night snacks or sweets even more intensely due to a sense of reward.
Especially when I have plans to eat out on weekends or weekdays, just deciding on the menu is incredibly stressful. I can't exactly cancel the plans, but I'm always anxious that I might eat too fast or binge eat once I get out and enjoy the occasion.
I am really curious to know how experienced dieters overcame frustrating plateaus like this!
