Is it true that it becomes harder to lose weight as you get older?
In the past, I could lose weight quickly just by adjusting my diet and exercising a little, but lately, I am worried because it seems like I am not losing weight easily even if I don't eat as much as before. Even though I eat the same amount and exercise similarly, there is almost no change in my weight, and I actually feel like I gain weight more easily than before.
People around me say that losing weight becomes harder as you get older because your basal metabolic rate drops, but I am wondering if it is really due to my age or if there is a problem with my method. In particular, I used to see results just from doing cardio exercises, but now, even when I exercise, changes are slow and it feels like I am hitting a long plateau, which is frustrating.
Are there any others out there who, like me, feel that it is harder to lose weight than before? For those who have changed their dieting methods as they have gotten older, I am also curious to know what kind of exercise or diet helped. I would like to know if anyone has seen results after increasing their strength training or protein intake.
I often lose motivation because my weight loss is slowing down. I would appreciate it if those who have successfully lost weight through consistent management could share their experiences or offer some realistic advice. 😊
