How do you all manage to handle foods that are hard to leave behind, like hamburgers and kimbap, when you're on a diet?

When dieting or managing your diet, it is definitely right to put down your spoon when you are full, but strangely enough, it seems really hard to stop halfway through with certain foods.

Menu items like hamburgers and gimbap are prime examples. If you leave a hamburger halfway through eating, juices from the patty or lettuce seep out, causing the bun to quickly become soggy; when you try to eat it again later, it doesn't taste like the original at all. The same goes for gimbap; if you leave a few pieces behind, the rice quickly dries out and the texture changes due to the moisture from the vegetables, resulting in a significant decline in taste whether you reheat it later or eat it as is.

If it were food like snacks or packaged treats that I could save and eat later, I would put it down thinking, "I'll just eat this much and save the rest for tomorrow." But with hamburgers or kimbap, I think I often force myself to eat everything to the end, even if I'm full, because I feel like "if I don't eat it now, I'll end up throwing it away or it will taste bad."

Even when I feel full, I often end up overeating because I don't want the quality of the food right in front of me to suffer. How do you all manage to control yourselves when you're full? Do you split the food in half to pack it up from the start, or do you just clean up the leftovers without any regrets? I'm curious to hear your tips!
