What should I do to maintain my target weight without the yo-yo effect after reaching it?

I've almost reached my goal, but my joy is short-lived as I'm worried about the yo-yo effect. During my diet, I reduced my food intake and exercised hard, but I'm wondering if I need to continue managing my weight just like this even after achieving my target.

People around me say that maintaining weight is harder than losing it, and hearing so many stories about gaining it back if I loosen up my diet even a little makes me feel anxious. However, I don't think I can live on just chicken breast for the rest of my life, so I am also worried about when I can start eating regular food and how much exercise I need to do to maintain my weight.

Are there any of you who have maintained your weight for several years without yo-yoing after reaching your target weight? I am curious how you changed your diet after finishing your weight loss and how often you manage your weight. I would also like to know what lifestyle habits those who have successfully maintained their weight while still eating the foods they want have.

Conversely, I am also curious to know what the biggest reason was for those who successfully lost weight only to gain it back and experience the yo-yo effect. I’ve heard that maintaining weight is harder than losing it, so I would appreciate any realistic advice or personal experiences for those of you who, like me, are approaching your target weight. 😊
