If I binge eat on the weekend, does my weekday diet become useless?

I tend to stick to my diet and exercise consistently on weekdays, but I end up overeating on weekends due to frequent family gatherings and social engagements. I usually manage my weight by eating salads or regular meals in moderation, but since I eat chicken, pizza, and even dessert on weekends, I feel guilty and am worried that my weight is increasing immediately.

Especially when I step on the scale on Monday mornings, I often find that I have gained about 1 to 2 kg, which makes me anxious that all the hard work I've put into dieting has gone to waste. So, I'm wondering if I should avoid weekend plans as much as possible.

Are there any others like me who manage their diet well during the week but completely give up on the weekends? I am wondering if it is okay to binge eat on the weekend as long as I adjust my diet during the week, or if it is more helpful to eat systematically, like on a cheat day.

    치팅데이도 적당히 양을 조절하는 게 중요해요.
