(Helpful Tip) How to Take Care of Your Eye Health

 

Starting the day by opening your eyes and waking up, and ending the day by closing your eyes and falling asleep.

It is the eyes that cannot rest.

 

Sharing ways to take care of your eye health

 

Wearing a hat with a long brim and sunglasses

Excessive exposure to ultraviolet rays can cause cataracts and macular degeneration.

When engaging in outdoor activities, wear a wide-brimmed hat or sunglasses to prevent eye aging. Eye aging begins in your twenties.

 

Be careful of vascular diseases

There are many blood vessels in the eyes. If you have hypertension, diabetes, or cardiovascular disease, your eye health is also at risk.

Prevent or manage vascular diseases through a diet focused on vegetables and fruits, along with regular exercise.

 

Quitting smoking

Smoking is very bad for eye health because it raises intraocular pressure and reduces blood supply to the optic nerve, so quitting smoking is essential.

Smoking is the greatest risk factor for glaucoma and macular degeneration.

 

Eat plenty of vegetables and fruits such as spinach, kale, and broccoli.

Insufficient intake of antioxidants that prevent and slow eye aging and damage accelerates the aging process.

Lutein, which has antioxidant effects, is abundant in spinach, kale, broccoli, lettuce, zucchini, and corn.

 

Avoid looking at smartphones and TVs in dark places

Reducing the time spent looking at smartphones is the best thing to do. It's worst to look at them up close in a dark place.

 

Looking at a book or smartphone then gazing into the distance

If you have been focusing your eyes for more than an hour, take a break by looking into the distance; continuous eye use without rest can lead to accumulated fatigue.

It can lead to eye diseases.

 

Exercise by alternating between nearby and distant places

Exercises that involve looking at nearby objects and then distant objects can help delay presbyopia that begins in the mid-40s.

Repeat the exercise several times

 

Brighten the lighting in rooms and living rooms

 

Eye exercise method

 

Roll the pupils up, down, left, and right, holding each position for 5 seconds.

Rotate your pupils in a circular motion clockwise, then also rotate in the opposite direction, repeating three times.

Press firmly on both sides of the temples.

Press with your thumb on the end of the inner part of the eyebrow.

Rub your palms together to warm them, then cover your eyes with them.
