Does sleep duration affect weight changes when dieting?

I consistently pay attention to my diet and exercise, but it seems relatively easy to neglect my sleep habits.

There are many days on weekdays when I go to bed late and wake up early, so there are times when fatigue builds up.

I heard that lack of sleep can cause changes in appetite or activity levels, so I became curious about the relationship between weight management and sleep.

Is getting enough rest just as important as exercising more or reducing food intake?

Rather than just sleeping in for a long time, I would like to start by building a habit of going to bed and waking up at a consistent time.

For those of you who changed your sleep habits along with weight management, what changes did you notice?

Please let me know if there are any easy-to-implement sleep management methods.
