Eating this nut believed to boost vitality... Turns out it causes hair loss?

Foods high in fat, such as French fries or pork belly, can cause hair loss.

A research team at Tokyo Medical University in Japan confirmed that hair loss occurs in rats fed a high-fat diet.

2. The selenium component in Brazil nuts can also cause hair loss.

This is due to side effects of selenium poisoning called selenosis. The main symptoms of selenosis include hair loss, brittle nails, abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomiting, fatigue, and skin rashes.

Prevention

1. Consume a balanced variety of nutrients in your diet, especially focusing on protein, which is a key component of hair. Soybeans, tofu, and bean sprouts are typical examples, and black beans, raisins, and carrots are also effective foods for preventing hair loss.

2. Using hot water when washing your hair damages the scalp and disrupts the oil and moisture balance. The roots and follicles of the hair become weaker when wet, and the hotter the water, the more sensitive the scalp becomes, which can lead to hair loss. It is best to dry your hair naturally with air.
