I believe there are no people who don't know that foot baths are good for the body.
I, who didn't used to be sensitive to cold, started to become very sensitive to cold three years ago, and my hands and feet became so cold that it was difficult. At night, my feet would be so cold that I would wear two pairs of socks, including sleep socks, but my feet would still be cold, and I would often wake up in the middle of the night.
And then I started doing foot baths♡♡♡
I have become such a foot bath enthusiast that I can't go a day without doing it now.
Foot baths are one of the methods that can produce effects similar to a sauna in a short period of time. What about foot baths?
It has numerous benefits, including improving blood circulation, preventing cold hands and feet, preventing insomnia, boosting immunity, relieving stress, removing waste products, and preventing colds through enhanced immunity.
Foot baths are most effective when done twice a day, but if time is limited, doing them 3 to 4 times a week can also be beneficial.
A foot bath should last about 15 to 20 minutes per session, and taking it for too long can actually cause fatigue, so caution is necessary.
I enjoy dry foot baths.
The dry foot bath machine can be used anywhere as long as there is electricity, and it is really easy to clean and maintain. However, it is more expensive than the wet foot bath machine, and only some parts with heating elements may be hot, posing a risk of burns. Since it can cause dryness, applying enough moisturizing cream to the feet and wearing socks before soaking can prevent dryness.
Since I started soaking my feet for 20 minutes every day without missing a single day, my cold extremities have improved significantly, and I no longer wake up during sleep because my feet are cold.
I can really sleep soundly for even a few hours. Compared to before, I feel less fatigued, and my body temperature seems to have risen compared to before, so I plan to keep it up. After soaking my feet, I really sweat like I’ve been in a sauna, and after showering, I feel refreshed and it seems to help eliminate waste, which also improves my skin. My skin feels really smooth. Hehe.
While wet foot baths have more advantages than dry foot baths, they require frequent water changes and can develop mold if not properly maintained, so I find dry foot baths more convenient and preferable.
It would be good to find and use the method that suits you best, whether it is dry or wet.
Taking a foot bath during winter for health management, getting a sweet sleep—it's the perfect combination, the ultimate sleep essential.
