How can we prevent varicose veins?

In the evening, my calves swell a lot and I feel swelling all the way to the soles of my feet, so walking is a bit uncomfortable.

I never thought of varicose veins; I just thought my blood circulation wasn't good...

I'm a bit worried since even if the veins aren't prominent, it could still be varicose veins in the legs;;;

Currently managing with a compression band, but honestly, it's frustrating, so I can't wear it consistently. I only wear it for a few hours in the evening before going to bed at home.

Is it correct to keep wearing the compression band?
