What should I do about tinnitus symptoms during menopause?
As menopause begins, I become more aware of many physical changes.
At first, I had a hard time adjusting because unfamiliar symptoms appeared, but as time went on, I think I gradually adapted to those situations, and I sometimes feel proud of myself.
Still, it feels a bit sad, doesn't it?
Listening to the experiences of those who have gone through it before, I receive help and share the same feelings with peers experiencing similar symptoms, which helps me accept menopause symptoms and midlife changes calmly.
Recently, new symptoms have appeared.
It's tinnitus.
I thought tinnitus was a sound created by the brain to compensate when hearing loss occurs, but I hear a buzzing sound in my ear.
After conducting a hearing test, there were no abnormalities found.
I was wondering what was going on, and it turns out I have menopausal tinnitus ㅠ
This too must be accepted and moved on, you know~
There were no specific prescriptions at the hospital.
The tinnitus symptoms are worse at night than during the day.
When the surroundings become quiet, I strangely hear a crackling sound more loudly, and sometimes it only sounds in one ear, while other times it sounds in both.
When I lie down to sleep, the crackling sound bothers me, making it hard to fall asleep.
I've tried listening to calming music or nature sounds ASMR, but it doesn't really help.
What should I do about tinnitus symptoms during menopause?
Will it naturally disappear over time?
Should I just accept that I have tinnitus and live with it?
Has anyone experienced tinnitus?
