Overcoming anxiety and helplessness at the Siheung Open Mind Mental Health Department

Lately, my lethargy has been so severe that I've struggled to even put on my shoes in the morning, and I've been struggling with unexplained anxiety, making it difficult to start my day. I've been struggling on my own, but I've reached my limit, so I came to counseling. From the beginning, I was reassured that the therapist listened to me calmly, without hastily judging my condition. He explained in an understandable way why I was feeling lethargic and anxious, and what signals my body and mind were sending me. It was a relief to know I wasn't alone.
After consulting with the doctor, I determined that my condition was so severe that it was immediately debilitating, so I decided to combine medication with weekly counseling. The doctor started me on the lowest dose and adjusted it based on my physical condition. He also gave me specific advice on how to cope with my anxiety. After a few days, I felt my chest tightening, my anxiety, and my lethargy, which had made me want to do nothing, gradually ease. Above all, the clinic's approach was informal and tailored to my pace, which was a distinct difference from other clinics. I felt satisfied because I felt like I could continue attending without any pressure.
