Young and healthy people can also get shingles - Symptoms and reviews of shingles

Although I usually considered myself healthy, I experienced shingles.
Although I am now fully recovered, the shingles symptoms I experienced at that time were so painful that I really do not want to go through them again.
I would like to share the symptoms of shingles I experienced and the recovery process.
As everyone knows~
The first symptom of shingles is blistering.
Around dinner time when I was leaving work, my back started to itch, and upon checking, I found small, rough patches of spots.
At first, I wondered what this was. I just thought it was because of the itch, so I scratched vigorously;; I didn't think much of it.
The next day, the itching worsened, so I checked.
At that time, I never imagined it would be shingles...
I thought it was just a simple rash I had before.
The second symptom of shingles is that I initially thought it was just simple muscle pain, but eventually I got body aches.
Looking back, I think I experienced some chills, body aches, and indigestion-like discomfort starting 2-3 days before the blisters appeared, which was different from my usual condition.
Initially, I felt a strange, tingling pain in my right side.
I thought it was just muscle soreness from overexertion, but the pain that feels like electric shocks gradually worsened.
From this point on, I realized it wasn't just a simple flu, and I decided that I should go to the hospital as soon as it gets light.
The third symptom of shingles is finally(?) having a fever...
At first, I had a fever and thought it might be COVID-19, but when I woke up, I developed shingles.
As soon as it got light, I went to the hospital and was immediately diagnosed with shingles.
I was surprised to find out that I contracted shingles, even though I am usually physically healthy and lead a regular lifestyle..!
The reason I suddenly got sick despite being fine was probably because I had a lot of overtime at that time, couldn't sleep well, lost my appetite, and didn't eat properly.
The only fortunate thing is that the golden time for shingles is within three days after onset.
Since then, it has become very difficult to receive treatment when visiting the hospital.
In the early stages, shingles symptoms are similar to skin rashes, so many people miss the initial treatment.
I rapidly developed symptoms in just two and a half days, but fortunately I went to the hospital within the golden time.
Herpes zoster is widespread on her back, but only scattered in the chest, sides, and inner arms, so she was told that applying medication would soon make it better.
However, the pain was truly overwhelming while taking the medication! It was the worst pain I have ever experienced!
The intense nerve pain I felt every time the blistered area was touched was really the hardest part.
Having experienced it firsthand, I can say that being young does not mean shingles symptoms will pass lightly.
The doctor said that shingles happen because the immune system is weakened, so you should rest well, eat well, exercise, and manage your health properly to keep your immunity strong.
Otherwise, they repeatedly emphasized that shingles can recur even after complete recovery.
After taking the medication and applying the ointment for about three weeks, I was fully healed.
The pain that used to sting just by brushing against clothes has completely healed to the point where I wonder when it ever hurt.
The shingles symptoms left blister scars and scars behind...
And the slight muscle pain, like a sequela, lasted for a few more weeks.
So, it takes about a month and a half to fully recover from shingles?
So now I am also taking propolis.
I usually only take one vitamin supplement, but that means the shingles was extremely painful.
Even young and generally healthy people can experience a lot of stress.
If you continue to have poor sleep habits, your immune system will weaken, and eventually, shingles may occur.
Therefore, if you are eligible for shingles vaccination, please make sure to get vaccinated!
