Cavity treatment

My child is undergoing orthodontic treatment, so we go to the dentist regularly once a month.

And they also provide dental checkups from time to time.

If a cavity is discovered, should I get it treated immediately, or is it okay to just monitor it?

I'm wondering if I can postpone it a little because my child doesn't have time.

The hospital said to come back another time if I don't have time, but I'm not sure if it's okay to postpone it because I'm worried the cavity might progress quickly.

충치가 진행된 것 같다면 치과에 빠르게 확인해보는 게 좋을 것 같아요. 교정 중에는 장치 주변에 음식물이 생각보다 잘 껴서 평소 양치만 하는 것보다 치간칫솔까지 같이 사용해보시는 것도 추천해요. 시리거나 불편한 느낌이 생겼다면 치과에서 상태를 확인해보는 게 우선일 것 같아요.

아이들의 유치나 영구치는 성인보다 치아 구조가 얇아 충치 진행 속도가 생각보다 빠른 편이에요. 당장 진행이 멈춰있는 충치가 아니라면 가급적 미루지 않고 빠르게 치료받으시는 것이 안전합니다. 치과에 문의하셔서 가능한 빠른 날짜에 치료받으시길 바래요^^
