Regardless of gender or age, hair loss can be extremely stressful. It can even lead to loss of self-esteem and depression, requiring proactive management early on. Let's take a look at lifestyle habits to prevent hair loss.

Clean hair is paramount in preventing hair loss. Before washing your hair, wash your hands thoroughly. Then, squeeze the appropriate amount of shampoo into your hands, lather well, and massage into your scalp and hair. Rinsing thoroughly to remove any remaining shampoo residue is also essential.

 

When drying your hair, it's best to use cool air instead of hot air. Hot air can irritate the scalp, damaging cuticles and proteins, and disrupting the oil-moisture balance. Keep the hair dryer at a certain distance from your head and avoid letting your hair air dry. Leaving wet hair for long periods of time can cause the scalp to become damp, creating an environment conducive to bacterial growth.


If you are going to be outdoors on a day with strong UV rays, wear a hat, and it is best to wash your hair in the evening to remove dust and waste accumulated during daily life.

 

Scalp massages are used to improve blood circulation to hair follicles, but they don't prevent hair loss. In fact, excessive brushing or stimulation with a coarse comb or massager can cause microscopic injuries.

 

Losing a significant amount of weight in a short period of time can temporarily cause hair loss. Conversely, eating well is also good for hair health. While some say soybeans have anti-androgen effects and can help alleviate hair loss, this is not actually significant. Eating soybeans won't suppress androgens (the hormone that causes hair loss) or reverse hair loss. However, eating a diet rich in protein and minerals can help strengthen the scalp and hair.

    탈모에는 머리카락이 너무 긴 건 좋지 않고 짧아야 좋다고 알고 있습니다. 머리를 자주 만지는 것도 좋지 않아요. 의외로 모자하고는 상관 없더라구요.
