Efficacy & effects
This medicine helps alleviate symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, stuffy nose, and tearing caused by cold or allergic and vasomotor rhinitis. It also temporarily relieves nasal congestion caused by sinusitis. In other words, it is used to improve symptoms related to rhinitis and sinusitis.
Dosage and Administration
Children 12 years and older and adults: Take 10 mL every 4 hours. Do not exceed 60 mL in 24 hours and follow doctor's instructions.
Precautions
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to specific ingredients or are hypersensitive to amine sympathomimetics or antihistamines. It is also safe for individuals with special constitutions and women who are breastfeeding to avoid taking this medication. Those with severe hypertension or coronary artery disease, as well as patients undergoing MAO inhibitor treatment, should avoid this medication. It is advisable not to take this medication for individuals with conditions such as glaucoma, difficulty urinating, peptic ulcers, asthma, emphysema, chronic respiratory diseases, or other breathing difficulties. Those taking sedatives or tranquilizers should also avoid using this medication. Individuals with specific diseases such as chronic bronchitis, heart disease, hypertension, thyroid dysfunction, diabetes, glaucoma, or prostatic hypertrophy should take this medication cautiously and under the supervision of a doctor. Side effects such as fear, anxiety, trembling, weakness, paleness, difficulty breathing, difficulty urinating, insomnia, hallucinations, convulsions, heart arrhythmias, dizziness, and hypotension may occur when taking this medication. People sensitive to phenylephrine may experience a rapid heartbeat or headache, dizziness, or nausea, but it is safe at appropriate doses. Individuals allergic to antihistamines may rarely experience drowsiness, dry mouth, dizziness, decreased appetite, nausea, vomiting, headache, nervousness, frequent urination, chest pain, visual disturbances, urinary difficulty, or dermatitis. This medication may cause drowsiness, so taking it with alcohol or sedatives may increase drowsiness. Caution is advised as children may exhibit excitement. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days of use or if accompanied by a high fever, consult a doctor immediately. It is not advisable to consume alcohol while taking this medication, and activities requiring concentration, such as driving or operating dangerous machinery, should be avoided. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage, and if overdose occurs, consult a doctor immediately. If symptoms such as dizziness, insomnia, or nervousness occur during use, it is necessary to stop taking the medication and consult a doctor. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Pharmaceuticals should be stored in their original container, as transferring to another container could risk misuse or degradation of quality.
