Dosage

Apply the sponge soaked with the drug solution to the surgical site or up to the hands and elbows, rubbing for 3 minutes with the hands. Pay special attention to rub the area around the nails, epidermis, and between fingers. Rub with a brush if necessary. Wash with warm water, repeat the washing for another 3 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly with water and dry completely.

Precautions

This drug should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine. Direct use on internal areas such as the brain, spinal cord, or ear may cause damage to the auditory nerve or central nervous system, so caution is advised. When used on mucous membranes such as the vagina, bladder, or mouth, shock reactions may occur, so special care should be taken. It is best to avoid use if there is erosion or pus in the eyes or wound areas. Patients with allergies to other drugs or a history of allergic conditions such as asthma should use it cautiously. If symptoms such as nausea, cold sweat, dizziness, or difficulty breathing occur during use, the use of the drug should be stopped immediately, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Hypersensitivity reactions such as rash or urticaria may occur, so use should be discontinued if these symptoms appear. It is safest for pregnant women or those who may become pregnant, as well as breastfeeding women, not to use this drug. This drug is for external use only and should never be ingested or injected. If accidentally ingested or if it gets in the eyes, rinse immediately with clean water and seek appropriate medical attention if necessary. Avoid steam inhalation during extensive or prolonged use, especially in newborns or premature infants. To maintain germicidal efficacy, do not use with organic materials such as soap or serum, and it is important to thoroughly clean instruments before use. This drug is absorbed by fabrics or cloths; therefore, the solution should be frequently replaced to ensure concentration is maintained. When diluting, it is recommended to use clean distilled water, and after dilution, sterilization must be performed.
