Efficacy & effects

The tablet form of the medication is used for the relief of symptoms of leukemia, choriocarcinoma (choriocarcinoma, destructive hydatidiform mole, hydatidiform mole), rheumatic arthritis, and severe refractory psoriasis that is ineffective with other medications. The injection form is extensively used for various solid tumors and choriocarcinoma, such as acute leukemia, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, sarcoma, breast cancer, lung cancer, head and neck cancer, and bladder cancer, and is also used for severe refractory psoriasis.

Dosage

1. Leukemia: Administer methotrexate 5–10 mg orally once daily for 3–6 days per week. 2. Choriocarcinoma: Administer 10–30 mg orally daily. Precautions

This medication should be taken once a week when treating rheumatoid arthritis or psoriasis, and dosage errors can lead to serious side effects, so caution is advised. When used together with certain other medications, the risk of side effects may increase, so it should be administered under medical supervision. Particularly, patients with poor kidney or liver function, those with blood disorders, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should not use this medication.
