The safety and efficacy data for children under 12 years of age and adolescents aged 12 to 17 are insufficient, therefore, administration is not recommended.

This medication is used to treat peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. It is also effective as an adjunctive treatment for partial seizures in epilepsy patients, whether they have secondary general symptoms or not. Additionally, it helps relieve pain in patients with fibromyalgia. It is used to improve symptoms associated with various nerve-related conditions.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is taken orally, divided into two doses daily regardless of food. 1. Neuropathic pain 1) Peripheral neuropathic pain - Initial dose: 150 mg daily - After 3 to 7 days: may increase to 300 mg daily - If necessary, may increase to a maximum of 600 mg daily at 7-day intervals. 2) Central neuropathic pain - Initial dose: 150 mg daily - After one week: may increase to 300 mg daily.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior, so inform your healthcare provider immediately if you experience depression or mood changes during treatment. If symptoms of angioedema such as swelling of the face or around the mouth appear, discontinue taking this medication immediately.
