This medication is used to relieve symptoms such as sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion caused by colds, allergies, and vasomotor rhinitis. Tablets or syrup effectively alleviate tearing symptoms, while capsules help relieve sneezing, runny nose, and nasal congestion. Therefore, it is suitable for improving discomfort from these symptoms comfortably.

Dosage

(Tablets) Take 1 tablet three times a day after meals. (Capsules) Take 1 capsule three times a day after meals. (Syrup) For individuals aged 12 years and older, take 10 mL three times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains the ingredient pseudoephedrine, which may rarely cause severe skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis. If fever, red spots, or small blisters develop on the skin, immediately discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Do not use this medication if you have a history of hypersensitivity, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart disease, urinary retention issues, hypertension or coronary artery disease, if you are pregnant or potentially pregnant, breastfeeding, under 2 years of age, taking certain medications, or if you are allergic to methylparaben. During treatment, avoid taking it with blood pressure medications, alcohol, central nervous system depressants such as sleeping pills or sedatives, certain antidepressants, sympathomimetics, and at least 15 days must pass after taking MAO inhibitors before starting this medication. It is advisable to avoid activities requiring concentration, such as driving or operating machinery, while taking this drug. If you have specific conditions such as asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or prostatic hypertrophy, or if you are under 12 years old, consult a healthcare professional before use. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if high fever accompanies the symptoms, discontinue use and seek advice. Also, consult a doctor or pharmacist immediately if any unusual symptoms occur, such as sedation, drowsiness, anxiety, visual disturbances, hallucinations, seizures, skin rash, digestive issues, or urinary problems. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, seizures, and insomnia may occur, and if such symptoms arise, seek immediate medical attention. If serious side effects related to pseudoephedrine are suspected, stop use and consult a specialist immediately. Store this medication in a safe place out of reach of children, avoid direct sunlight, and keep it sealed in its original container in a cool, dry place. Be cautious when transferring the medication to another container to prevent misuse or degradation of the drug's quality.

Interactions

Do not take this medication with antihypertensive agents, central nervous system depressants (sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers), MAO inhibitors, sympathomimetics, tricyclic antidepressants, guanethidine, bretylium, beta-nide, debrisoquine, methyldopa, sympathomimetic drugs (decongestants, appetite suppressants, amphetamines), or adrenergic blockers. It is also advisable not to take it with alcohol.
