There is no experience with the use of this medication in pediatric patients over 40 kg. There is no experience with the use of this medication in adults. To minimize the possibility of gastrointestinal disturbances, this medication should be taken at the beginning of meals. Taking this medication at mealtime increases the absorption of clavulanic acid potassium.
Child dose
Pediatric patients over 3 months: Based on the amoxicillin content (600 mg/5 mL), administer 90mg/kg/day in divided doses every 12 hours. For acute otitis media, treat for 10 days, and for acute sinusitis, treat for 7 days.

This drug is effective against major infectious bacteria such as Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, and Moraxella catarrhalis, particularly acting on beta-lactamase producing strains. It is used in pediatric patients with recurrent or persistent acute otitis media or acute sinusitis, as well as children under 2 years who have received antibiotics for such infections within the last 3 months. This drug helps treat infections in pediatric patients with these risk factors, aiding in the recovery of health.

How to take

Adult dose

There is no experience with the use of this medication in pediatric patients over 40 kg. There is no experience with the use of this medication in adults. Precautions

This drug contains the artificial sweetener aspartame, and patients with the genetic disorder phenylketonuria should not take it. Patients with a history of allergy to this drug's ingredients or penicillin-class drugs, patients with infectious mononucleosis, lymphoblastic leukemia, liver dysfunction history, lactose intolerance, or related genetic disorders should not use this medication. Patients with liver or kidney function issues should use this medication with special caution, and those with allergies, elderly patients, or patients with gastrointestinal diseases should also use it carefully. This drug is mostly safe, but symptoms such as skin rash, diarrhea, and vomiting may occur, so if any abnormal symptoms appear, consult a doctor immediately. When using antibiotics, it is important to adhere to a precise diagnosis of the infection site and appropriate administration duration to prevent the occurrence of resistant bacteria. Patients who have had hypersensitivity reactions to penicillin-class drugs should be careful, as severe allergic reactions may occur. If diarrhea or abdominal pain worsens during antibiotic use, there is a possibility of pseudomembranous colitis, so it is important to stop taking the medication immediately and inform medical personnel. Long-term use of more than 14 days may increase the risk of resistant bacteria or side effects, so periodic observation is necessary. Patients with liver or kidney dysfunction should adjust the dosage and intervals and undergo regular function tests. It is safest to avoid this medication during the first 3 months of pregnancy, and it should be taken after consulting a doctor for pregnant or breastfeeding women. This drug should not be used in infants under 3 months as safety has not been established.
