This medication is used to relieve pain caused by peripheral and central neuropathy in adults. It is also used as an adjunct in the treatment of partial seizures in epilepsy to help improve symptoms. Additionally, it is effective in the treatment of fibromyalgia. It is used to improve symptoms of various nerve-related diseases.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

This medication is taken orally in two divided doses daily, regardless of meals. 1. Neuropathic Pain - Peripheral neuropathic pain: Initial dose of 150 mg daily, may be increased to 300 mg daily after 3 to 7 days, and can be further increased to a maximum of 600 mg at 7-day intervals. - Central neuropathic pain: Initial dose of 150 mg daily, may be increased to 300 mg daily after one week, additional adjustments are possible.

Children's dosage

Safety and efficacy data are insufficient for children under 12 years and adolescents aged 12 to 17, so use is not recommended.
