This medication takes about 10 to 20 minutes to show bronchodilator effects, and should not be used in patients with acute asthma attacks or life-threatening severe asthma exacerbation. For the treatment of acute asthma attacks, a fast-acting inhaler should be used instead of this medication, and patients should be educated to always carry it with them. Do not administer to patients with hypersensitivity to this medication, patients with cardiac arrhythmias, untreated respiratory infection, or severe bronchiectasis. Patients with a history of cardiovascular disease or conditions such as diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or seizure disorders should use this medication with caution. This medication can cause serious side effects such as paradoxical bronchospasm after inhalation, so if symptoms occur, use should be discontinued immediately and a doctor should be consulted. Major side effects include palpitations, headache, nausea, muscle pain, hoarseness, and oral candidiasis, and it is advisable to rinse the mouth after inhalation. This medication can interact with other drugs, so caution is necessary, especially when used in conjunction with beta-blockers, CYP3A4 inhibitors, and steroid medications. During pregnancy, it should only be used at the minimum effective dose to minimize risk to the fetus, and during breastfeeding, it should be used after consulting a healthcare professional. The safety and effectiveness of this medication have not been established in children under 4 years of age, and caution should be taken in pediatric and adolescent patients as long-term high-dose use may result in growth retardation. In the elderly, there is a risk of cardiovascular adverse reactions, so it should be administered with careful observation. In case of overdose, serious symptoms such as arrhythmias, blood pressure changes, and hypokalemia may occur, requiring immediate medical treatment. This medication is intended for oral inhalation only, and after use, patients should rinse their mouth to prevent oral candidiasis. If asthma symptoms worsen during treatment or the use of fast-acting inhalers increases, a doctor's assessment should be sought immediately, and discontinuation of use should not be done arbitrarily.
