Child dose
Use in children under 12 years of age and in adolescents aged 12-17 years is not recommended.

This drug is used to treat peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults and is used as an adjunctive treatment for partial seizures in epilepsy patients. It is also effective in alleviating muscle pain due to fibromyalgia. It improves various neurological pain and seizure symptoms.

How to take

Adult dose

This drug is administered orally in divided doses twice daily without regard to meals. 1. Neuropathic Pain - Peripheral Neuropathic Pain: Start with a dosage of 150 mg per day, which may be increased to 300 mg per day after 3-7 days, and if needed, may be further increased to a maximum of 600 mg with a 7-day interval. - Central Neuropathic Pain: Start with a dosage of 150 mg per day, which may be increased to 300 mg per day after one week.

Child dose

Use in children under 12 years of age and in adolescents aged 12-17 years is not recommended.

Precautions

This drug may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behaviors, so patients should immediately inform healthcare providers if they experience mood changes or depression symptoms during treatment. It should not be administered to patients with hypersensitivity to this drug or specific genetic metabolic disorders. Diabetic patients may experience weight gain while taking this drug, which may require adjustments in their blood sugar control medications. This drug should not be administered to pregnant women during early pregnancy due to the risk of fetal malformations unless in special cases, and women of childbearing age should use effective contraception.
