Summary

Main use
Treatment of dermatophytosis (tinea pedis, tinea corporis, etc.) and onychomycosis
Who takes it
Adults · Children
Adult dose
As terbinafine, administer 125 mg once, twice a day, or 250 mg once daily. The treatment duration varies by condition as follows: 1) Dermatophytosis Tinea pedis (interdigital type, plantar type/mocha type): 2–6 weeks Tinea corporis: 2–4 weeks Tinea cruris: 2–4 weeks 2) Onychomycosis Typically administered for 6 weeks to 3 months. If the infection is in the fingernail or a relatively small toe, or if the patient is younger, the treatment duration may be reduced to less than 3 months. The treatment duration for toenail infections is typically sufficient at 3 months, but in some patients, it may take 6 months or longer. If the patient has slow nail growth, the treatment duration may be prolonged. 2. Pediatric: Administer to children over 2 years of age. There is insufficient experience for administering to patients under 2 years, so it is not recommended. Tinea capitis: 4 weeks. Tinea capitis mainly occurs in children. To prevent recurrence of infection, treatment should be conducted for a regularly defined period. 1) Weight under 20 kg (under 5 years): administer 62.5 mg once daily. Due to a lack of experience, the decision to administer should consider the benefits and risks of treatment. 2) Weight 20–40 kg (5–12 years): administer 125 mg once daily. 3) Weight over 40 kg (over 12 years): administer 250 mg once daily. 3. Patients with renal impairment In patients with a creatinine clearance rate of less than 50 mL per minute, reduce the daily dose by half.
Child dose
Administer to children over 2 years of age. Tinea capitis: 4 weeks 1) Weight under 20 kg (under 5 years): administer 62.5 mg once daily. 2) Weight 20–40 kg (5–12 years):
