Dosage

Precautions
This medication should not be used by individuals allergic to this drug or its components. Particularly, it should be avoided by individuals with thyroid dysfunction, those with poor kidney function, newborns and infants under 6 months of age, patients with herpetic dermatitis, and patients before and after receiving radioactive iodine therapy. Patients with severe conditions or a history of thyroid disease, and those with a history of renal failure should use this drug with greater caution. This medication can rarely cause severe allergic reactions, so if symptoms such as difficulty breathing, rash, or itching appear, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor. Pain, itching, irritation, or rash may occur on the skin, and in severe cases, use should be stopped. Using a large amount may lead to electrolyte imbalances or kidney dysfunction, so caution is necessary. Prolonged use may cause changes in thyroid function, requiring regular checks. Repeated use on extensive wounds or burns may result in symptoms such as burning sensation in the mouth and throat, skin reactions, and difficulty breathing. Excessive use of this medication can lead to iodine toxicity, so care is necessary. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should avoid long-term or extensive use of this drug, as it may affect the thyroid function of the fetus or neonate, and thyroid testing is recommended. This medication may affect thyroid function test results, so it should be disclosed during testing. There may be interactions when used with other drugs, so patients receiving lithium treatment are advised not to use this drug regularly. Care should be taken to avoid contact with the eyes, and if it gets into the eyes, it must be rinsed immediately with clean water. If severe symptoms such as sudden itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing occur after use, medical attention should be sought immediately. This medication should be stored away from direct sunlight and in a manner that prevents corrosion if kept in a metal container.

Interactions
Do not use this medication together with hydrogen peroxide. Consult with a doctor or pharmacist if used in conjunction with lithium preparations, chlorhexidine, silver sulfadiazine compounds, alkaline preparations, mercury-containing products, or enzymatic wound treatment agents.
