Precautions

This drug is a local anesthetic used for epidural anesthesia, and should not be administered to certain patients. For example, patients with severe bleeding or in shock, those with inflammation at the injection site or suffering from sepsis, and those allergic to this drug or other amide-type local anesthetics should avoid its use. Central nervous system effects may lead to tremors, convulsions, drowsiness, anxiety, dizziness, nausea, and other symptoms, requiring prompt action if they occur. Additionally, allergic reactions may result in skin rashes or swelling, so caution is necessary. When using this drug, it should be administered slowly in minimal amounts, and intravenous injection should always be confirmed. Special caution is required when used with vasoconstrictors as there is an increased risk of side effects in certain patient groups. The safety of this drug in pregnant women has not been sufficiently established, so it should only be administered when the benefits of treatment are deemed to outweigh the risks.
