Today, I walked 10,000 steps following the 3.3 rule, which is said to be good for health.
I walked ten thousand steps again today.
I'm trying to walk 10,000 steps a day for my health, but today I tried walking in a different way.
I used to walk about twice a day, walking continuously for about 5,000 steps at a similar pace.
Sometimes, instead of going out specifically for walking exercise, I would walk nearby when I went out for work.
Today, I tried walking using the 3.3 rule.
I learned this from watching Dr. Dong-hwan Lee TV, who educates on YouTube.
It is recommended to add exercise at an intensity that makes you breathe hard.
For example, when doing walking exercise, it is good to walk quickly enough to be out of breath for 3 minutes, then walk slowly for another 3 minutes, and repeat.
This increases the production of neurotrophic factors in our brain, which promotes the generation of brain nerve cells.
So I tied my sneakers tightly and walked at a very brisk pace for about three minutes.
I was a bit short of breath, but since it was only about 3 minutes, I could walk.
And I walked slowly for three minutes.
It was very relaxed and nice to walk slowly haha
After walking about 5,000 steps several times, I felt like I was exercising a bit more than usual.
I also started to sweat a little.
I am planning to steadily walk regularly according to the 3.3 rule.
It is recommended to combine aerobic exercise with strength training. Consistently engaging in resistance exercises can help prevent or delay symptoms of age-related Alzheimer's disease.
So, I came home and did about 30 minutes of home workouts to strengthen my thighs, calf raises, and arm exercises.
I plan to gradually increase the duration of strength training.
