A review of treating early-stage depression by changing lifestyle habits and taking nutritional supplements.
Two years ago, I was struck by depression, something I'd previously thought was unrelated. It wasn't severe, but it was still in its early stages, so I tried to manage it on my own by changing my lifestyle and taking nutritional supplements to help with depression. After about a year of trying, my symptoms disappeared, and I successfully treated my depression.
I used to think depression was something that came with loneliness. But it turns out stress and psychological anxiety can also be triggers. I'd been under tremendous stress at work for a long time, and I was constantly anxious about the future. Then one day, I started to feel strange and different, even unconsciously. I started to feel dazed, sad, and impulsive, and most importantly, I lost motivation in everything. Then, a health checkup showed early symptoms of depression, which confirmed my condition.
So, I decided to start working on treating my depression, starting now. To begin with, I decided to change my lifestyle. Previously, I'd mostly been sitting indoors, either at the computer or with a book, but to combat my depression, I decided to move more and experience new environments.
So whenever I had time, or even when I was busy, I started taking time to go for walks and hikes, and I met new people and went to new places, and I also communicated a lot with people.
And to treat my depression, I also took nutritional supplements that help treat depression. I bought vitamin D and omega-3 and took them.
In the case of vitamin D, various studies have shown that when it is deficient or insufficient, it causes mood disorders (SAD) and depression, so it is a nutritional element that helps in treating depression.
And omega-3 containing EPA is a nutrient that helps treat depression as it has an effect on alleviating depression, schizophrenia, and psychosis.
After changing my lifestyle and taking nutritional supplements consistently for about a year, my depression symptoms almost disappeared and I am now leading a normal life.
