Laser Hair Removal: Is It Really 'Permanent'?

Honest review from my own experience

Every summer, I get really stressed out from hair removal 😅
Shaving makes you rough in a day, waxing is painful and annoying…
In the end, I thought, “I’ll get laser hair removal once and be comfortable for life!” so I got the procedure.

Is laser hair removal truly "permanent"? I was curious, so I tried it myself and reviewed it.

But I was really curious. Is 'permanent hair removal' really a thing?
To conclude… it is not completely permanent, but It really lasts a long time.
Instead, it requires constant management.

The effects are really evident immediately after the procedure.

As soon as I finished the first treatment, all my hair disappeared and my skin became smooth.
There are no razor marks and the feel is completely different.

I had my legs and armpits shaved at the same time.
After about the third time, the hair became much thinner and grew slower.
For about 2-3 weeks, I didn't have to worry about it at all!

But after a few months... it starts to come back a little 😅

This is why it is not ‘permanent hair removal’.
It was really neat at first, but after about 6 months
It started to grow back little by little like fine fluff.

Of course, it's not as dense as before.
It has been reduced to about 30%.
This is what the advertisement says 'Permanent loss' Yes.

That is, only a part of the hair follicle is destroyed by heat.
That area has been empty for a long time,
This means that completely new hair follicles can be reactivated.

so It is not completely permanent, but it is a long-term condition where hair is reduced!

There are quite a few differences depending on the area.

I was really satisfied with my legs and armpits.
However, areas such as the philtrum and arms have thinner and lighter hair.
The laser doesn't catch things very well.

The effect is much better for light skin and dark hair.

Especially when looking at the philtrum under the light,
I can see that it has come up again,
I just get maintenance treatments every summer.

Post-procedure care is more important than you think.

After the procedure, your skin may become slightly red or feel hot.
I found the cold compress really helpful.

I bought it at Daiso~

Never take a hot shower or scrub on the day of the procedure!
If your skin is irritated, it may cause pigmentation.

Also, if you moisturize frequently with moisturizing cream or aloe gel,
My skin is much softer and less irritated.
In fact, if you just take care of these basics, the hair removal effect will last much longer.

Knowing Why Hair Grows Back Makes Sense

There must be many people like me who thought, “Why am I here again?”
This is not a problem with the procedure. Because of changes in the body are you.

Hormones, stress, sleep patterns, medications, etc.
Even small changes can change hair follicle activity.

So even though it's not completely permanent,
Maintenance treatment If you receive it once every 6 months to 1 year,
It stays really clean for a long time.

Summary of pros and cons I personally felt

👍 merit

  • Much less painful than waxing

  • Almost no skin irritation

  • As the hair becomes thinner, the skin texture becomes smoother.

👎 disadvantage

  • Not completely 'permanent'

  • The treatment cycle must be adjusted

  • The cost doesn't have to be paid all at once, but it requires consistent investment.

But honestly, I'm satisfied.
I can't go back to the days when I had to carry a razor 😆

Laser hair removal review summary

Speaking from my own experience,
Laser hair removal is not 'permanent removal' but 'long-lasting semi-permanent hair reduction'. Yes.

Just keep to the treatment cycle,
If you manage it consistently with equipment that suits your skin type,
The stress of hair removal really disappears.

It doesn't hurt like waxing,
Because you don't have to worry about it every day like shaving.
Much more economical in the long run are you.

The term “permanent hair removal” is a bit of an exaggeration, but
In the end, it was one of the most satisfying procedures I've ever had.

I recommend getting it before summer comes!!
