I'm struggling with tinnitus.

While I was in the military, I played a prank and was hit on the ear by a friend's hand, and I started hearing a whistling sound from my ear.

I used to be able to ignore it to the point of not noticing in everyday life. However, as I get tired and older, it has worsened. Recently, I have also started hearing tinnitus in the other ear.

I'm wondering what would be the best course of action.
