Some people think that the chemical ingredients in shampoo are harmful, so they use natural cleansers like baking soda and substitute rinses with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar, but these are also bad for the scalp. Baking soda has less cleaning power than shampoo and cannot thoroughly clean the pores. The acidic components of lemon juice or vinegar can cause skin inflammation.
 
After washing your hair with shampoo and rinsing thoroughly with water, issues caused by surfactants can be resolved. While it is true that surfactants remaining on the skin for a long time can easily allow toxins in the environment to be absorbed into the skin, experts claim that completely rinsing with water prevents these problems from occurring.

Meanwhile, it is better to wash your hair at night rather than in the morning to prevent hair loss. Washing your hair in the morning washes away the scalp's sebum, exposing it directly to ultraviolet rays. When exposed to UV rays without sebum, the scalp can become damaged, leading to increased flaking and potentially causing hair loss.
Sleeping without washing away the accumulated waste on the scalp during the day can clog pores and be harmful to the scalp.
However, it is essential to completely remove moisture remaining on the scalp after washing your hair. Falling asleep with wet hair can cause the scalp to become damp, leading to dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis.
