A review of systematic shoulder treatment received at Kyunghee Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine Clinic in Namdong-gu.

I went in for a consultation because I'd been working out my shoulders at the gym and over-indulged in weight training. The next day, my shoulders started to feel stiff and a sharp pain persisted when I raised my arm. From the moment I first visited, the doctor asked about my posture and exercise habits, and then identified the cause of my pain. It felt good, not just because I was assessing the pain. The doctor personally checked my shoulder's range of motion and explained the tension in my muscles and ligaments. His approach was easy to understand, which gave me confidence.
The treatment involved acupuncture, herbal acupuncture, and tuina therapy to loosen the muscles around my shoulder. The needles were so precise that I could immediately sense where the tension was. The herbal acupuncture was focused on the inflamed area, so it was comfortable. After the tuina treatment, my stiff shoulder felt much looser, and I could feel the pain when I lifted my arm significantly less. Most importantly, the doctor didn't recommend excessive treatment, and he even gave me detailed instructions on exercises and stretching techniques to avoid for the time being, which made me feel like I was being cared for.
