Opening a bottle cap is difficult… This could be a sign of a disease that is difficult to cure.

If your grip strength has weakened, you need to be careful. In reality, it's not just the grip strength that's particularly noticeable; it's more like a loss of overall strength. If your grip strength isn't what it used to be, you need to start exercising now. Your overall muscle strength may have decreased to the point where it could be causing health problems.

People with weak jaw strength are at greater risk of diabetes and high blood pressure.

Weak grip strength can be a sign of disease risk. First, the weaker your grip strength, the greater your risk of high blood pressure. A Yonsei University research team analyzed the relationship between high blood pressure and grip strength using data from the 6th National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. The results showed that the group with the weakest grip strength had a higher prevalence of high blood pressure than the group with the strongest grip strength. People with weak grip strength typically have overall muscle weakness. This makes it difficult to pump blood throughout the body, and blood vessel function declines. This means that blood pressure cannot be properly controlled. If high blood pressure is left untreated, it can lead to various cardiovascular diseases, so caution is advised.

People with weak grip strength are also at a higher risk of diabetes. Researchers at the University of Oakland analyzed grip strength and health status of adults who participated in the National Health Screening Program in the United States from 2011 to 2014. They found that individuals with weak grip strength relative to their body weight were at a higher risk of developing diabetes than those with a stronger grip. This is because individuals with weak grip strength tend to lack muscle mass, which is the largest glucose-consuming tissue in the body. A larger muscle mass allows for more glucose to be used as an energy source, lowering blood sugar levels.

◇Aerobic and strength training in parallel… Strengthening the body, including the wrists

To prevent high blood pressure and diabetes, you need to strengthen your entire body. Weight training and other strength training aren't the only options. To effectively lower blood pressure, it's better to combine at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise with strength training. Studies show that aerobic exercise can lower blood pressure by 5-7 mmHg. The Korean Society of Hypertension recommends brisk walking, jogging, cycling, swimming, and aerobics. Exercise should be at a "moderate intensity" level, meaning you'll sweat slightly and feel out of breath. These aerobic exercises help your muscles burn glucose, which can also help prevent diabetes.

If your goal is to prevent diabetes, pay particular attention to your thighs during strength training. The thighs contain two-thirds of the body's muscle mass and consume about 70% of the glucose you consume. Proper training can help prevent post-meal blood sugar spikes. Frequent stair climbing and squats can help build muscle mass. Grip strength exercises are also helpful for lowering blood pressure, so it's recommended to do them three times a week. Squeeze a dynamometer for two minutes, then rest for one minute, repeating four times. Another effective exercise is opening a plastic bottle cap with one hand. Grip the top of the bottle with your palm and twist the cap open with only your fingers. This helps develop the muscles in your fingers and palm.

====================

It's a beverage can, but my nails are so weak.

It may break or bend right away.
