저도 어릴 때 발목 삔 걸 방치했더니 고질적인 증상이 나타나네요ㅠ 정형외과 가서 물리치료 받으면 좋아지고 완치는 없는 거 같아요
(Concern) After spraining my right ankle, I feel a sharp, tingling pain when standing up or bending.
On a rainy day, even though it wasn't raining heavily, I slipped and lost my footing while coming out near the entrance, twisting my right ankle!!
I started feeling pain just below my ankle bone, and my ankle has been throbbing.
I couldn't walk properly, and when I tried to stand up, it put strain on my ankle, so I limped my way home.
The next day, I went to the hospital and was told that my ligament was stretched.
I received herbal acupuncture, cupping therapy, physical therapy, hot packs, and infrared treatment while visiting the Korean medicine clinic.
I thought it had been just over a month, but as I looked at the calendar while writing, it's already been a little over two months.
I lose track of time because I'm busy going to the hospitalㅜㅜ
I sprained my ankle, and every time I walk, I feel a tingling sensation and pain below the ankle bone, making it difficult to walk, so I stayed on the sofa for about two weeks!! I only went out for absolutely necessary errands. By consistently visiting the Korean medicine clinic, the pain has somewhat eased and decreased, so I visit the clinic intermittently.
It wasn't that my ligament was severely stretched or that I had significant swelling...
It's been over two months, but my ankle still isn't fully healed, so I'm worried.
The pain and discomfort are less than when I first got injured, but I experience occasional throbbing, tingling, or a feeling of discomfort and cramping during daily activities.
Now, walking has become easier and it's okay for daily life, but if I walk a little longer (about 5,000-6,000 steps), my feet feel heavy in the evening and I experience some aching or discomfort, as if I overexerted myself.
When I sit on the floor and stand up, even when I try to rise without putting too much force on my right ankle, I feel a sudden sharp pain.
A tingling sensation when squatting to use the bathroom or do small chores, a dull ache and heaviness felt when bending the waist.
When descending the stairs or trying to stretch in the morning or evening, I feel a sense of tension and sensitivity, as if my ankles might cramp.
I've been consistently receiving ankle treatment and feel like it's gotten better, but I still experience occasional throbbing, tingling, and lingering pain in my ankle, which has been a long-lasting concern.
I injured my ankle for the first time, sprained it, and overstretched the ligament. If anyone has experienced this before, please give me some advice.
Does it take more time to return to normal after an ankle injury?
Are there any lingering feelings of injury, such as aftereffects from the injury or discomfort in the ankle, even after treatment?
If there were lingering effects or residual feelings after the injury, how long did they last?
Even if it seems to have gotten better, a part that was injured once can get hurt again. Has anyone who has injured their ankle experienced this? Do you feel it has weakened over time?
I soak my feet in warm water and do ankle stretches gradually when I feel good. Is there any effective exercise I can do at home to manage my ankles?
Compared to the initial pain when I first got injured, the pain has significantly eased, but my ankle still hurts occasionally. It's not constantly painful, but the area where I sprained my ankle isn't completely pain-free, and I experience occasional, temporary discomfort and aftereffects during daily activities, which sometimes worries me.
