This medication is used to treat allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, dermatitis, and chronic urticaria.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and children over 12 years: Administer 10 mg of Evastine orally once daily. Adjust dosage based on age and symptoms.

Child dose

Children aged 6-11 years: Administer 5 mg once daily.

Precautions

This medication contains lactose, and rare hypersensitivity reactions such as diarrhea may occur in children or adolescents sensitive to lactose. If diarrhea occurs, consult a physician. This medication should not be used in patients with known allergic reactions to this drug or severe liver impairment. Patients with poor liver function or a history of liver disease should exercise caution when using this medication, as it may worsen liver function. Additionally, patients taking medications or having conditions that may affect heart rhythm should use this medication with caution. This medication may rarely cause side effects such as rapid heartbeat, drowsiness, headache, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. There have also been reports of increased liver enzymes, skin rashes, and edema as hypersensitivity reactions. When taking this medication, it is important to observe one's condition closely, especially if driving or operating dangerous machinery. This medication usually takes effect 1-3 hours after administration, so it is not suitable for the treatment of acute allergic reactions.
