Improvement of allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis (respiratory and eye symptoms), and dermatitis (skin symptoms)
This medication is used to treat allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, dermatitis, and chronic urticaria.
Adults and children over 12 years: Administer 10 mg of Evastine orally once daily. Adjust dosage based on age and symptoms.
Children aged 6-11 years: Administer 5 mg once daily.
This medication contains lactose, and rare hypersensitivity reactions such as diarrhea may occur in children or adolescents sensitive to lactose. If diarrhea occurs, consult a physician. This medication should not be used in patients with known allergic reactions to this drug or severe liver impairment. Patients with poor liver function or a history of liver disease should exercise caution when using this medication, as it may worsen liver function. Additionally, patients taking medications or having conditions that may affect heart rhythm should use this medication with caution. This medication may rarely cause side effects such as rapid heartbeat, drowsiness, headache, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. There have also been reports of increased liver enzymes, skin rashes, and edema as hypersensitivity reactions. When taking this medication, it is important to observe one's condition closely, especially if driving or operating dangerous machinery. This medication usually takes effect 1-3 hours after administration, so it is not suitable for the treatment of acute allergic reactions. Taking this medication with other antihistamines may enhance its effects, and combining it with certain antibiotics or antifungals may lead to increased blood concentration and a higher risk of side effects; therefore, consult a physician. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use this medication cautiously, as its safety is not well established. Particularly during breastfeeding, it is advisable to discontinue breastfeeding while taking this medication. Children under 6 years of age should not use this medication, as its safety has not been confirmed. This medication may affect allergy test results, so it should not be taken prior to testing. In the event of an overdose, specific toxic symptoms are rare; however, if symptoms occur, appropriate treatment should be sought immediately. Keep out of reach of children, and be cautious not to transfer this medication to another container, as this may compromise its quality and safety.
