How to take

Adult dose

For adults 15 years and older: take 1 capsule three times a day 30 minutes after meals

Precautions

This medication may burden the liver, so individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. The acetaminophen ingredient in this product can rarely cause severe skin reactions. If you experience a rash or hypersensitivity symptoms after taking it, you should discontinue use immediately. The maximum daily dosage of acetaminophen is 4,000 mg; care should be taken not to exceed this while taking this medication along with other acetaminophen-containing products. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to it or any of its components, have a history of asthma, are an infant under three months old, or are currently taking or have recently stopped specific antidepressants or antipsychotics. Serious side effects

  • hives, severe swelling, chest tightness, cold sweat, pallor → shock (anaphylaxis) symptoms
  • Severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in mucous membranes of mouth/eyes → mucocutaneous syndrome (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), toxic epidermal necrolysis
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory abnormalities accompanied by cough and fever → asthma, interstitial pneumonia
  • Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice), severe malaise throughout the body

Mild side effects

rash, redness (congestion and redness), itching, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, swelling, difficulty urinating, persistent or severe thirst, dizziness, anxiety, tremors, insomnia, high anion gap metabolic acidosis (HAGMA)

Interactions

Drug interactions

This medication should not be taken with other products containing acetaminophen, MAO inhibitors (antidepressants, antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, anti-Parkinson's medications, etc.), cough suppressants and expectorants, other cold medications, antipyretics, sedatives, or antihistamines. Additionally, consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking it along with diabetes medications, gout medications, arthritis medications, anticoagulants, steroids, barbiturates, and tricyclic antidepressants.

Food interactions
