This medication is used when the combination of a long-acting bronchodilator and an inhaled corticosteroid is appropriate for the treatment of asthma. It also helps improve the symptoms of patients with severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease who experience frequent exacerbations despite regular long-acting bronchodilator therapy. Therefore, it is used for the symptomatic treatment of asthma and severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
