The safety and efficacy data for pediatric patients under 12 years of age and adolescents aged 12-17 are insufficient, and therefore administration is not recommended.

This medication is used to treat peripheral and central neuropathic pain in adults. It is also used as an adjunct for patients with epilepsy, regardless of the presence of secondary generalized symptoms for partial seizures. Additionally, it is effective in the treatment of fibromyalgia. In summary, it is used to improve various neurological symptoms such as neuropathic pain, epileptic seizures, and fibromyalgia.

How to take

Adult dose

This medication is taken orally twice daily without regard to food. The total daily dosage should be divided into two doses. 1. Neuropathic Pain 1) Peripheral Neuropathic Pain: Starting dose of 150 mg once daily; may be increased to 300 mg once daily within 3 to 7 days, and thereafter may be increased to a maximum of 600 mg once daily at 7-day intervals. 2) Central Neuropathic Pain: Starting dose of 150 mg once daily; increase to 300 mg once daily after one week.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of suicidal thoughts or behavior, so you should immediately inform your healthcare provider if you experience depression or mood changes while taking it.
