How it is given
Child administration
The dosage for children is administered as follows, depending on the child's weight, age, and degree of protein metabolism: - Amino acids: 1.5 to 3.5 g per kg of body weight per day - Nitrogen: 0.23 to 0.53 g per kg of body weight per day
Precautions
This medication should be used very cautiously in patients with severely impaired cardiac or respiratory function, or renal function. Especially in children with poor renal function, nitrogen intake must be controlled during administration. This medication should not be administered to children with specific amino acid metabolism disorders or to patients with a history of myocardial infarction. In cases of weak renal function in children, overdose of this medication may lead to metabolic acidosis or increased blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels, so caution is required. During administration, the injection condition, clinical symptoms of the child, and blood test results should be carefully observed. Before use, it is essential to check if the solution is clear and that the container is not cracked or broken. It should be used immediately after opening, and any remaining medication should not be stored. When storing the medication, products in soft bags do not require air venting, but vial products should have the air vent pricked just before the start of dripping to prevent air ingress. If the solution is discolored or if leakage or droplets appear inside the packaging, it should not be used. If the protective film on the rubber stopper has been removed, it is safer not to use it. When measuring the dose, it should be used precisely based on the scale indicated on the container.
