The administration speed should not exceed 1.0mL per hour (equivalent to 0.25g/kg of glucose and 0.05g/kg of amino acids), and it is preferable to administer it intravenously over 12 to 24 hours.

Precautions

This medication must be used strictly according to a physician's instructions. When administering intravenously, it should not be infused simultaneously with calcium-containing preparations as this can cause precipitation between the drugs when using the same infusion equipment. Patients with allergic reactions or specific electrolyte imbalances, heart, and kidney diseases should not use this medication. In patients with impaired liver or kidney function, severe dehydration, or heart failure, this medication should be administered cautiously, and their condition must be closely monitored during administration. This medication contains sodium bisulfite, which may provoke allergic reactions or asthma attacks, so individuals with hypersensitivity should exercise caution. During administration, blood glucose, electrolytes, and liver and kidney functions should be regularly monitored, and any abnormal symptoms should be reported to medical professionals immediately. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should administer this medication cautiously as its safety has not been established, and a physician's evaluation is necessary. Children and the elderly may require dosage speed adjustments or special caution due to different physiological functions. In cases of overdose, acidosis, fluid overload, and electrolyte imbalances may occur; thus, dosage and infusion speed must be strictly managed, and infusion should be stopped immediately if symptoms arise and appropriate interventions must be taken. This medication must be administered slowly via central venous access and peripheral intravenous access should be avoided. Before use, check for abnormalities in the solution, use it promptly after opening, and do not reuse any remaining solution.
