Effect of amino acid supply in hypoproteinemia, malnutrition, etc.
Amino acid supply is used in cases of hypoproteinemia, malnutrition, and conditions such as preoperative and postoperative states.
For peripheral venous administration, slowly infuse 200-400 mL intravenously per dose. The infusion rate should be based on 200 mL over 120 minutes, ideally using approximately 10 g of amino acids per hour. For central venous administration, continuously infuse 400-800 mL daily via a high-calorie fluid method.
For peripheral venous administration, children should be infused slowly. For central venous administration, dosages and infusion rates should be appropriately adjusted.
This medication must be used strictly according to a doctor's instructions. It should not be used arbitrarily without a doctor's direction. This medication should not be administered to patients in hepatic coma or at risk of hepatic coma. Additionally, it should be avoided in patients with severe renal impairment or high blood urea nitrogen levels. Patients with metabolic disorders that have issues with nitrogen utilization, severe heart failure, pulmonary edema, and those with very little or no urine output should also not receive this medication. For formulations containing sodium and chloride ions, this medication cannot be used in patients with elevated serum sodium and chloride levels or in those whose blood is alkaline. Patients with a history of myocardial infarction should also avoid this medication. In states of severe acidosis, congestive heart failure, edema due to sodium retention, hyperkalemia, or patients with high potassium levels in the body should be administered carefully. Patients with liver or kidney function issues also need caution. This medication contains sodium bisulfite, which can cause severe allergic or asthma attacks in individuals with sulfite allergies, especially asthmatics, requiring caution. During the use of this medication, rare hypersensitivity reactions such as skin rashes may occur, and if such symptoms appear, use should be discontinued immediately. Gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea or vomiting may also occur. Cardiac-related symptoms may include chest discomfort, palpitations, rapid pulse, and elevated blood pressure. Rapid administration of large amounts may pose a risk for acidosis. Additionally, chills, fever, headache, respiratory distress or arrest, shock, bronchospasm, urinary spasms may occur. Metabolic issues can lead to acidosis, hypophosphatemia, alkalosis, blood sugar abnormalities, dehydration, vitamin imbalances, and caution is required. Patients with impaired liver or kidney function may experience elevated blood urea nitrogen (BUN) levels, and patients with hepatic failure may manifest serious symptoms such as blood amino acid imbalance and coma. When administered in large doses or in conjunction with electrolyte solutions, special attention must be paid to electrolyte balance. Overdosage may lead to metabolic alkalosis, necessitating caution. Careful administration is required in patients with kidney disease, lung disease, or severe heart disease to avoid fluid overload. Diabetic patients should frequently check their blood sugar levels. The safety of this medication has not been established in pregnant women, so it should only be administered when the therapeutic benefits outweigh the risks. In children, as liver function may be immature, it is advisable to keep the dosage concentration low, and especially in infants, frequent checks of blood ammonia levels are necessary due to the risk of hyperammonemia. Elderly individuals may have declining physical function; therefore, careful adjustments in infusion rate and dosages are needed. Since this medication contains electrolytes, maintaining electrolyte balance is crucial during large doses or in conjunction with electrolyte solutions. When administering intravenously, it should be infused slowly to prevent chills or vomiting and reduce kidney burden. At low temperatures, it is advisable to warm this medication to body temperature before use, and the preparation and management of the infusion should be done in a sterile manner. Ensure the solution is completely transparent before use, and should be used quickly after mixing or stored in the refrigerator no longer than 24 hours. If crystals form in the solution, they should be dissolved by heating at 50-60 degrees and then cooled to body temperature before use. During storage, soft-bag products do not require venting, while vial products must have the venting needle pierced just before administration to prevent liquid leakage. Care must be taken to prevent discoloration or leakage of the solution until the package is opened, and if the protective film over the rubber stopper is damaged, it should not be used. Finally, it must be used accurately based on the markings on the container.
