This medication is effectively used for symptoms of skin allergies such as urticaria and hay fever, as well as for nasal congestion, sneezing, itching caused by allergic rhinitis, and itching and redness in the eyes due to conjunctivitis.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with known allergies to specific drugs or in patients with urological obstruction diseases such as glaucoma or benign prostatic hyperplasia. Additionally, it should not be administered to patients in a coma or those taking multiple central nervous system depressants, patients on specific antidepressants or with epilepsy, patients with hepatitis, and infants under 2 years of age. This medication should be used with caution in patients with poor kidney or liver function, those with peptic ulcers, acute alcohol intoxication, blood disorders, asthma or bronchial diseases, and patients with a history of sleep apnea. If a rash or allergic symptoms occur during use, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Symptoms such as altered liver function, bleeding symptoms, mental disturbances, digestive discomfort, palpitations, and urination difficulties may arise, requiring careful monitoring. This medication may cause drowsiness; therefore, driving or operating dangerous machinery should be avoided. Furthermore, caution is required when taken with other central nervous system depressants or alcohol, as side effects may be worsened. It is safest for pregnant or possibly pregnant women, as well as nursing mothers, to avoid using this medication. The safety in pediatric patients has not been adequately established, and it is especially advised not to use it in children under 2 years of age. Overdose may result in lethargy, nausea, and vomiting; in such cases, immediate emergency treatment is required.
