Dosage
As cetylpyridinium chloride, take 1.5mg 4-5 times a day, allowing it to dissolve slowly in the mouth without chewing or swallowing. Adjust as appropriate based on age and symptoms. For oral 0.025% and 0.05% spray solutions, spray into the mouth after meals or before conversations, as needed for oral cleansing.
Precautions
This medication should be used with caution in patients prone to allergic contact dermatitis. Furthermore, this medication contains Yellow No. 4 (Tartrazine), and patients who have had allergic or hypersensitivity reactions to this ingredient should be particularly careful. If any hypersensitivity symptoms such as skin rash occur while using this medication, usage should be discontinued immediately. It may affect the central nervous system, leading to high fever or headaches, so attention should be paid if these symptoms arise. Additionally, if nausea occurs or if there are signs of rashes, urticaria, ulcers, or burning sensations in the mouth, medication should be stopped, and a doctor should be consulted. It is safer not to use this medication for children under 3 years old due to the risk of swallowing the tablets. Lozenge medications should be allowed to dissolve slowly in the mouth, and they should not be chewed or swallowed; instead, they should be retained in the mouth as long as possible for effectiveness. Keep the medication out of reach of children, away from direct sunlight, and store in a cool, dry place.
