Precautions

Patients predisposed to allergic reactions should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Those who have previously experienced allergic symptoms such as fever, rash, joint pain, or itching should also exercise caution. Patients with liver or kidney dysfunction, thyroid disease, diabetes, or who have a high fever or are in a weakened state should use this medication cautiously. Women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or are breastfeeding should consult a professional before taking this medication. If taking other medications, it's important to consult a doctor or pharmacist due to the risk of drug interactions. Hypertensive patients or the elderly should be especially careful when using this medication. Patients with heart or kidney disorders should also consult a professional before taking this medication. Patients with body swelling or who are currently receiving treatment from a physician should definitely seek professional guidance before taking this medication. If symptoms such as rash, redness of the skin, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, or dizziness occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. If urine output decreases, or there is swelling of the face, hands, or feet, eyelids become heavy, hands feel stiff, blood pressure rises, or headaches occur, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor. Long-term use may decrease blood potassium levels due to licorice components, which can lead to elevated blood pressure or body swelling, so regular blood tests are necessary, and use should be discontinued if abnormalities are found. If symptoms of muscle weakness, limb spasms, or paralysis occur due to hypokalemia, stop taking the medication immediately and seek medical attention from a professional. Always adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration, and particularly ensure supervision by a guardian when administering to children. If symptoms do not improve after several doses, discontinue use and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Caution is required when using potassium-containing preparations or medications with licorice components, as well as certain diuretics, due to the increased risk of side effects. It is also advisable to avoid taking other cough medications, cold medicines, antihistamines, sedatives, or alcohol together for safety.
