Dosage

(Tablets) Take 1 tablet three times a day after meals. (Capsules) Take 1 capsule three times a day after meals. (Syrup) Take 10 mL three times a day after meals.

Precautions

This medication contains pseudoephedrine and may cause serious skin reactions such as acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis upon administration. If symptoms such as fever, red spots, or small blisters occur, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. This medication should not be taken by individuals with certain conditions or special circumstances. For instance, individuals allergic to this medication, those with severe liver or kidney dysfunction, patients with serious heart disease, individuals with urinary retention issues, patients with hypertension, women who are pregnant or breastfeeding, children under the age of 2, individuals taking MAO inhibitors, and those with certain genetic disorders should not take this medication. Additionally, during the use of this medication, it is advised to avoid taking it with antihypertensives, alcohol, sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers, MAO inhibitors, and certain antidepressants, and at least 15 days should pass after discontinuing an MAO inhibitor before starting this medication. While taking this medication, it is best to avoid tasks that require attention such as driving or operating machinery. Individuals with asthma, glaucoma, heart disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, benign prostatic hyperplasia, or children under the age of 12 should consult a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. If symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if high fever occurs, discontinue use immediately and contact a healthcare professional. Furthermore, if any abnormal symptoms such as drowsiness, anxiety, sweating, visual disturbances, hallucinations, muscle cramps, severe headaches, respiratory difficulties, skin rashes, gastrointestinal disturbances, or urinary obstructions occur, discontinue the medication immediately and consult a professional. In case of overdose, symptoms such as hallucinations, seizures, nervousness, dizziness, and insomnia may occur, which may require interventions such as gastric lavage or dialysis. This medication should be stored out of the reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and kept in its original container sealed in a cool and dry place. Care should be taken as transferring to another container may degrade the quality of the medication.

Acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), high fever, erythema, multiple small pustules as serious skin reactions, skin reactions, severe headaches, thunderclap headache, seizures, visual impairment, sudden severe headache, confusion, acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis, ischemic colitis symptoms (sudden abdominal pain, rectal bleeding), reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy syndrome and reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome symptoms, sudden and very severe headache, seizures

Interactions

Do not take this medication with MAO inhibitors, antihypertensives, central nervous system depressants (sleeping pills, sedatives, tranquilizers), sympathomimetics, tricyclic antidepressants, guanethidine, bretylium, betanidine, debrisoquin, methyldopa, sympathomimetic medications (decongestants, appetite suppressants, amphetamine-type stimulants), or alpha and beta adrenergic blockers.
