Precautions

This medicine should not be used in patients who have an allergic reaction to this medicine or its components. This medicine contains lactose, so it should not be administered to patients with genetic disorders that impair the digestion of lactose. Serious allergic reactions such as shock or anaphylaxis may occur with this medicine, so if symptoms such as hypotension, decreased consciousness, difficulty breathing, or skin rash appear, the use of the drug should be stopped immediately and treatment should be sought. Blood-related side effects such as decreased white blood cell or platelet counts may occur, so if symptoms such as fever, sore throat, or bleeding appear, discontinuation should occur. Liver function abnormalities may occur, so if jaundice or elevated liver enzyme levels are observed, medication should be stopped and appropriate treatment should be received. If symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing associated with respiratory diseases occur, the medication should be discontinued and necessary treatment should be sought. Muscle-related side effects can include muscle pain, weakness, and rhabdomyolysis, so if such symptoms occur, use should be stopped immediately. If there are signs of hypersensitivity such as skin rash or urticaria, or itching, the drug should be discontinued and treatment should be sought. Neurological symptoms can include tremors, seizures, anxiety, headache, drowsiness, and dizziness, so caution is necessary. Gastrointestinal side effects may include nausea, abdominal pain, diarrhea, or vomiting, so if they are severe, consult a doctor. Cardiac-related side effects such as arrhythmias or palpitations may occur rarely, so caution is needed if there are abnormal symptoms. Urinary abnormalities such as proteinuria or urination disorders may occur, so symptoms should be observed. This medicine is not a drug that provides immediate relief from asthma attacks; bronchodilators or steroids may be needed if attacks worsen. In patients undergoing long-term steroid treatment, if this medicine is used, the dosage of steroids should be reduced slowly, as sudden discontinuation may carry the risk of relapse of the original disease. Serious side effects such as vasculitis may rarely occur with this drug, so attention should be paid to eosinophil counts and symptoms of vasculitis. Psychiatric symptoms such as depression or suicidal thoughts may occur after taking this medicine, so patient conditions should be carefully monitored. If there is no effect, it is advisable not to use for a long time. This medicine can interact with enzymes metabolized in the liver, so attention is required when taken with certain antibiotics or antifungals, as blood concentrations may increase. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should use this medicine only when the benefits outweigh the risks, as its safety has not been fully established. Safety in children, particularly low birth weight infants or neonates, has not been adequately confirmed, so it should be used with caution. Elderly patients may have diminished physical function, so caution such as dose adjustment is necessary. This medicine should be kept out of the reach of children, and transferring it to other containers is not advisable for quality maintenance.
